About The RoleAs a Merchandise Planner at the RealReal, you will be responsible for overseeing demand & supply strategy. Focus is on driving maximum revenue while integrating division level goals that provide a positive client experience. Strong communication and analytical skills as well as relationship building are key for success in this role. This person will report to the Manager, Merchandise Planning.
What You Get To Do EverydayManage weekly business performance reporting for Vendor channel; responsible for sharing out with key stakeholders and adjusting strategy where needed.Manage discounting and inventory reconciliation for Vendor channel and facilitating outreach to partners where needed.Support the development of new reporting and ways of analyzing business related to the Vendor channel.Develop channel/category/account level pricing recommendations and strategies in alignment with divisional financial plan.Manage monthly OTB forecast for owned product categories.Analyze and report out on business performance, KPIs, and provide insights to teammates & cross functional partners. Leverage insights to communicate risk, opportunities and action plans.Leverage analytical skill set & thorough understanding of financial KPIs to evaluate & implement pricing strategies based on current business & competitive market dynamics.Perform ad hoc analysis & recommend courses of action to drive sales & mitigate risk.Evaluate and create processes and tools in support of continuous improvement efforts. Partner with cross functional partners such as Merchant Team, Business Intelligence, Product, Engineering, & Marketing to drive execution of process & tool roll out where applicable.Forge successful relationships with the Merchandising, Pricing, and Vendor team and collaborate to uncover opportunities and deliver upon financial targets.What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required4+ years of proven success in merchandise planning, financial planning, strategy, or business analyticsCan quickly develop tool and system proficiencyPreferred Requirements:Proficiency with Excel & Google Suite required, familiarity with SQL & Looker a plusOmni-Channel experience a plusExceptional time management and organizational skillsStrong analytical, financial modeling & problem solving skills. Experience with Open-to-Buy, traditional retail metrics, and inventory management frameworks are crucial to successAbility to handle multiple work streams with proven success in analyzing large data sets related to a wide variety of business problemsTeam player able to work effectively and collaboratively across all departments to meet goalsCompensation, Benefits, + Perks

The expected salary range for this role is $77,878.00-$105,398.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR's total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
