Branch Services Assistant

Role:
Serves as a resource person to membership regarding issues related to account maintenance and deceased accounts.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 50%Performs data entry and works standard reports on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis. Verifies ALL documents within Imaging Systems for new accounts, member services, closed accounts, deceased accounts and IRAs.15%Assists with staff and/or members' requests including but not limited to deceased accounts, IRA and other account maintenance. Research and resolve member questions and issues, within established authority levels; refers issues outside these authority levels to manager, along with recommendation for resolution. Exchangesinformation with other employees and representatives in support of ongoing business services to resolve member account issues.10%Post incoming mail payments for members. Prepare and mark all outgoing mail for the credit union.10%Maintain and ship supply inventory for all branches.10%Back up all other functions within department as needed.5%Completes all other tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or required.
Performance Measurements: 1.To ensure accurate and timely posting of member transactions submitted by mail.2.To ensure accurate documentation is completed for new accounts, member services, deceased accounts and IRAs.3.To maintain cleanliness of mail and storage areas to prescribed standard set by supervisor.4.To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.5.To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
Knowledge and Skills: ExperienceThe job can be learned in hours or days or weeks.EducationA high school education or GED.Interpersonal SkillsWork involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.Other Skills1. Must have valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle independently.2. Must be able to travel independently via automobile3. Operate general office equipment including calculator/10-key, photocopy machine, and telephone4. Experience creating and maintaining documents in Word and Excel and other Microsoft products.Physical RequirementsRequired motion requirements.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
