Description
Rockhurst University, College of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking applicants for a part-time experienced and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Adjunct to teach courses in the PMHNP track, including didactic, clinical, and immersion experiences. Our Masters-level curriculum emphasizes innovative and evidence-based practice to meet the increasingly complex healthcare delivery demands and improve patient safety and quality of delivery. Our faculty are committed to educating future PMHNPs who are competent and qualified to deliver safe and high-quality care.
The PMHNP Adjunct will prepare course outline and syllabus in collaboration with the course lead and track coordinator, develop course and lesson plans, and engage in the selection of textbook and other teaching aids necessary to the instruction of courses. Conduct course instruction for courses in the nursing curriculum at the higher education level utilizing diverse teaching strategies. Teach pertinent course subject matter using lectures, demonstrations, class discussions, and other appropriate modes of educational delivery in the face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be required to maintain clinical currency.
Requirements:MSN with APRN national certification as a PMHNP2-5 years PMHNP experience requiredTerminal degree preferred.Strong organizational, analytical, planning, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals.Effective project management skills; detail and deadline oriented.
