Executive Director, Corporate Development

and you'll be part of a culture that embraces diversity, thinks differently to solve problems, works collaboratively as one team, and delivers meaningful innovations that impact people's lives.How you will make an impactThe Executive Director, Corporate Development, reporting to our VP, Corporate development and is a senior member of the Corporate Development team will execute Halozyme's M&A strategy through strategic transactions, including diligence coordination, and spearheading integration processes. In this pivotal role, you will help orchestrate successful transactions and support seamless integration of newly acquired entities into our corporate framework.In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:M&A execution:Work independently and in collaboration with internal and external groups to provide detailed economic analyses of new opportunities (e.g., market research, business intelligence, competitive analysis, projection development, valuation) to inform business decisions.Coordinate the evaluation and diligence of new opportunities across multiple functional areas including Research, Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, Intellectual Property and other groups.Support the executive leadership team in deal negotiations and contribute to activities such as drafting definitive agreements.Partner with the VP of Corporate Development to establish overall direction for the function.Integration:Support and oversee the integration process of acquired entities into Halozyme ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Translate due diligence findings into early integration planning and strategy development.Guide integration team to identify, scope and schedule project deliverables, resources, milestones, and activities.Contribute to the development of Transitional Service Agreements and Transition Manufacturing agreements, and support negotiation.To succeed in this role, you'll need:MBA with 15 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, M&A integration, or related areas within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (a combination of experience and education may be considered)Demonstrated experience leading large-scale due diligence and integration initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment; minimum experience of executing and integrating multiple sizable M&A transactions, end to end.Solid Project Management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organizationFlexibility to travel as needed for integration activitiesExperience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and driving organizational changeFamiliarity with M&A best practices and integration frameworksProficiency in financial analysis and modelingIn return, we offer you:Hybrid work flexibility-minimum of 3 days weekly in the officeFull and comprehensive benefit program, including an Employee Stock Purchase Program and 401(k) matching.Opportunities to grow in a culture that prioritizes learning, development and progression through in-house programs and tuition reimbursement.A collaborative, innovative team that works as one to amplify your impact-on your career, the work you do and patients' lives.Halozyme, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme.
