Your JobThe Credit & Risk Optimization team within Georgia-Pacific is seeking a financial analyst intern to join our team, this upcoming Summer 2025 in Atlanta, GA. Click Here!Our TeamOur team is comprised of a diverse group of individuals that have a passion for financial analytics, evaluating and optimizing risk, building strong relationships, and lifelong learning.What You Will DoThis is a project-based internship where your project will be based on a real business need that will be determined closer to your start date. Regardless of what project you will be working on, you'll be immersed in a dynamic environment where you will utilize financial analytics, business and industry research, decision-making capabilities, local knowledge, and teamwork as part of a disciplined approach to evaluating credit and commercial proposals. You will partner and communicate with commercial sales teams to understand the origination of new deals or change of current deals including economics, mechanics, and incentives for both GP and the customer. You will also leverage data analytics technologies to drive data-based decision making and maximize efficiency. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to lead and contribute to a variety of ad hoc projects that propel our business forward.Our interns work alongside our employees to solve real problems and offer insights that benefit society through improving our products and services. These are just a few key aspects of our internship program.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Enrolled in an accounting, finance, economics, business, or related college degree or alternative program. (e.g., 4-year university, 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)Ability to utilize financial analytics, business/industry research, decision-making capabilities, local knowledge, and teamwork as part of a disciplined approach to evaluating credit and commercial proposals.Analysis Skills: Analytical skills with the capacity to interpret financial data and reports.Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.Economic Thinking: Familiarity with economic concepts and the ability to apply economic reasoning.Strong Communicator: Ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrating strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.Analyze Data, Draw Insights, Create Recommendations: Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to extract insights and make well-founded recommendations for action.Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2026.Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
