Provide professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practicesAdministration of chemotherapy and other therapeutic drugsMaintains efficient and appropriate patient flow in clinicFacilitates dose modification by assessing patient and labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose and infusing medications and consulting physician regarding dose modifications, problems, and symptom managementAssures nursing charges are accurate and complete on charge ticketsActs as a resource for MA and LPN staffTriages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in patient's chartAssesses patient/family needs and provides teaching, instructional materials, and community resource informationCross train in the collaborative nursing area as availableQualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferredCurrent MN licensure and registration requiredCurrent or pending OCN certification preferredCurrent CPR certification required2-3 years of nursing experience with IV experience preferredKnowledge of basic computer programs is also requiredAdditional Attributes:Strong desire to learnFlexibilityAbility to multi-taskStrong Organizational SkillsSelf-starterStrong Basic Mathematic SkillsDependableDetail-orientedWorking Conditions:Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) -The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
