JOB SUMMARY
Assists and supports coworkers and performs repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce commercial aircraft interior components such as galleys, closets, VCCs, overhead stowage bins, ceiling panels, sidewalls, etc. for commercial transport aircraft. Must be able to work within the time constraints of the master production schedule and meet requirements dictated by the customerSUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsFinal assembly is responsible for the following duties: Ensure ECI products are built and assembled to the latest revision of released engineering drawings Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings Ensures work orders and traceability books are maintained and completed throughout the manufacturing cycle Maintain safe and effective use of all machine and hand tools as well as a safe work environment Report any defects to quality assurance and manufacturing engineers Promotes cooperation and positive communication with co-workers Follows installation procedures per ECI engineering drawings and requirements Cleans and prepares production units for fabricating, painting, assembly, or shipping Mixes and applies adhesives to manufacturers specifications as well as ECI requirements Applies edge fill and glue per ECI requirements Applies silicone sealant per ECI requirements. Places parts in specified relationship to each other Verifies unit dimensions before installing inserts, rivets, blind nuts, blocks, angles, doublers, and fittings Cuts, fits, and bonds extrusion to shape per approved engineering drawings Bonds, screws, glue, or otherwise attach parts together Drills, countersinks, and rivets metal or sheet metal parts as required Installs attachment fittings, as assigned Prepares and organizes tools and parts for use in the manufacturing area Requisitions parts as needed from the stockroom Works at different workstations as production needs require Lifts, positions, and removes production units from machines or assembly area Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or truck Picks up and trucks scrap from work areas Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment Tasks vary as different units complete certain phases of production Performs other duties as assigned by production supervisor
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:A High School Diploma is desired. A two-year college (Associates degree) is desired.
Experience:A minimum of 1-3 years of direct experience.
