Quality Assurance Manager

Develop, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 family of standards), quality audits/review, Taguchi methods, process reengineering, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.Preferred:Supervisory Responsibility: Manages a group of Inspection Technicians at the San Diego site.Must possess the demonstrated ability to work with and understand the synergies of working directly with managers, technical engineering and production personnel in an efficient and accurate manner.Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret common engineering information such as engineering drawings and product specifications and legal/contractual documents including statements of work, requests for proposal and contract terms and conditions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers or auditing agencies. Ability to write presentations, reports, business correspondence and procedures that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information inside and outside the company as required. Bilingual in Spanish is also preferred.Major Position Responsibilities:Supervises programs and activities within the quality assurance functions of the organization.Oversees audit or inspection processes meant to monitor compliance with established quality standards.Administers policies and programs ensuring that organizational products and processes meet established quality standards.Participates in the development, implementation, and administration of an organizational quality management system and monitors progress against strategic quality-related goals.Supervises the work of a team of analysts that collect data identifying potential quality failures, evaluate quality of raw materials or components, in-progress goods, processes or operations, and implement and measure the impact of corrective actions.Solicits internal and external feedback with the goal of continuously improving processes or products.Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.Basic Qualifications:Required Education And Experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education & ExperiencePreferred Education: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Quality Management, Engineering or Business degree preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Management skills. Problem/situation analysis. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Analytical thinking skills. Judgement.Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Pay Range (USD):$72,800 - $135,200
Additional Compensation:Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Companys Gain Sharing Program.
