Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Purchasing and Materials Manager with a background in signage or sign manufacturing. This role is crucial in managing the purchasing, inventory, and supply chain operations to ensure a steady flow of materials for our projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in vendor negotiations, and has a deep understanding of signage materials, production timelines, and industry-specific procurement needs.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in purchasing, materials management, or supply chain with a focus on signage or sign manufacturing.Knowledge: strong understanding of signage materials, including substrates, vinyl, lighting, and adhesives, as well as signage-specific production requirements.Skills: Excellent negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP or MRP systems) is a plus.Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.Communication: strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with diverse teams and suppliers.salary: $47,000 - $58,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: Bachelors

Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effective materials specific to the signage industry.Purchasing:
Oversee the entire purchasing process, from supplier selection and negotiation to order placement and tracking, ensuring timely delivery of signage materials.Inventory Control:
Develop and manage inventory control processes to optimize material availability while reducing waste and excess stock.Budget Management:
Prepare and monitor budgets for purchasing and materials, ensuring cost efficiency in alignment with project demands and company goals.Quality Assurance:
Coordinate with the production team to ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards, and compliance for signage projects.Process Improvement:
Implement continuous improvement practices for procurement, storage, and inventory management, optimizing workflow and minimizing delays.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, production teams, and logistics to align material needs with project timelines and resolve any material-related issues.
