RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management and analysis for the Corporation, exhibiting a strong hands-on approach.
- Recommend, develop and implement financial and tax strategies that are most advantageous to the company.
- Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
- Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives including mergers and acquisitions and new product and service launches.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for financial systems enhancements.
- Provide managerial leadership and direction to the Finance and Treasury functions of the corporation. Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
- Point of contact for auditors, bankers, insurers and regulatory agencies.
- Lead the Finance team, including mentoring and developing team members, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and the building of an effective team dynamic.
- Analyze, advise, attain concurrence and implement management processes to achieve excellent, state-of-the-art analysis of the following:
- Establishment of new product cost and pricing;
- Verification of return on investment expectations and actual results from the purchase of capital equipment and improvements;
- Planned versus actual operational and financial results;
- Planned versus actual market opportunities;
- Development of costs incurred to implement new products and processes.
- Domestic versus International cost/price assessments
- Assuring that product line costing is a reliable tool.
- Analysis of co-packing opportunities.
- Establish process and procedural guidelines for:
- Required internal and external financial reporting
- Cost estimating for new products
- Cost estimating for impact of product and process improvements
- Manage the company's insurance programs, real estate affairs including leases and subleases, negotiating new leases or lease renewals, coordinate with real estate counsel, and manage the company's general legal affairs.
- Provide recommendations towards the personal investments of the CEO, including financial
oversight of other ventures
- Provide audits as necessary of the CEO's personal financial records
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and MBA, CPA preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience in senior financial leadership of a privately held company in small to mid-sized consumer packaged food manufacturing, with both domestic and international presence.
- Experience partnering with executive staff resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
- Strong international finance experience
- ERP experience and highly developed Excel skills.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of business systems, product and process cost evaluation, mergers and acquisitions, and other aspects of financial management.
- Understanding of process manufacturing, IT, and other cross functional departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to enable organization growth and success.
- Strategic thinker, able to look at the big picture as well as dig out the details, with ability to reduce the issues and concepts to comprehensive pieces of information.
- Ability to embrace rapid change and serve as a change agent.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to influence internal and external audiences.
- Highly collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and team management.
