About the role Entry-level Windows System Engineer with a focus on AWS cloud solution delivery. Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, testing, and implementation of primarily windows services. How you'll make an impact Provide first-line support for Windows servers and workstations running on AWS EC2, including troubleshooting operating system and application software issues. Assist with migration planning from old versions to the newest windows version, test and validate the servers and software. Assist with the deployment and configuration of Windows instances on AWS, utilizing services like EC2, VPC, and IAM. Manage and maintain Windows systems using AWS Systems Manager and other relevant AWS tools. Monitor system performance using CloudWatch and other monitoring tools, identifying potential issues proactively. Implement and maintain security measures for Windows instances on AWS, including security groups, network access control lists (NACLs), and AWS security best practices. Contribute to the documentation of IT processes and procedures, with a focus on AWS cloud best practices. Participate in IT projects and initiatives related to cloud migration, optimization, and automation. Stay up-to-date with the latest Windows technologies and AWS cloud services. Able to provide on-call services on a rotating schedule Experience you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 0-2 years of basic understanding of Windows server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022). Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls). Foundational understanding of AWS core services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM). Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment. Nice to have Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) and automation tools. Basic knowledge of Linux commands Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform). Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A, Microsoft MTA, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner). The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
