Job DescriptionHead-huntress.com has a Direct Hire opportunity for a Senior Controls Engineer with a reputable Client in Wilmington, MA. This position is full-time, 5 days on-site work arrangement at Client's location in Wilmington, MA.Senior Automation EngineerLocation: Wilmington, MACompensation: $151,000 - $180,000 annually Plus BonusTravel: Up to 25%OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer with strong technical skills in implementing process automation solutions within the life sciences industry, specifically in liquid and powder processing facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Batch S88 and be capable of managing complex automation projects from concept through commissioning.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement automation solutions using PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.Lead project teams, interact directly with clients, and ensure solutions meet customer requirements.Oversee project phases, including design, testing, start-up, and commissioning, with a focus on Process Control Systems (PCS), SCADA, and DCS.Develop control system architectures, component specifications, schematic diagrams, and programming.Ensure regulatory compliance, including cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation per GAMP5 standards.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of AutoCAD, electrical schematics, power distribution, and control panels.Experience with fiber, wired, and wireless industrial networking.Physical and Working ConditionsStandard office environment, with fieldwork in industrial settings.Physical ability for hands-on tasks, including equipment mounting/dismounting, lifting, and driving.Selection process:Round 1 - HR phone screen (30 minutes)Round 2 - Video interview with hiring team (30-45 minutes)Round 3 - Onsite interviewApply Today for an opportunity to join an employee-owned company and contribute to innovative automation solutions in a leading engineering firm.RequirementsMust-Have QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical/Control, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.12+ years of automation experience in life sciences, with expertise in Batch S88 for small molecule liquid/powder facilities.Proficiency with automation platforms: Rockwell, Ignition, and SCADA systems.Experience with regulatory requirements in life sciences, including cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11.Strong knowledge of IT/OT networking and automation protocols: HART, Profibus, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, and other relational databases.EducationBachelor's of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.BenefitsJoin our Client's employee-owned company with a rich history of successful projects in the United States and abroad.
