Job Description:

OVERVIEWLead daily operations including: palletizer operations, receipt and storage of inbound loads and production volume, and loading and shipping of finished product to GMI facilities and customers. Lead, motivate and develop employees. Focus on improving team dynamics to foster a positive team culture. Provide support and leadership to both second and third shift Logistics employees.To learn more about our Murfreesboro plant and the surrounding area, Click Here!KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESEducate, develop, and motivate work group to achieve required warehousing results, improve individual technical skills, and enhance team culture.

Develop and administer performance appraisals, development plans, and corrective action.

Lead, motivate, and train employees to drive losses out of the system. Hold people accountable.

Lead warehouse productivity initiatives to improve employee efficiency

Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and monitor progress of the team

Establish and sustain sound relationships with all employees through effective conflict management and issue resolution techniques to foster a positive environment.

Effectively conduct team meetings. Be a role model to all employees.

Facilitate the effective interchange of information between work groups and support resources at the plant and within GMI. Effectively communicate organizational and policy changes.

Determine daily operational needs and adjust staffing to minimize cost while maintaining standards

Display a constant awareness of safety standards.

Interact with Quality, Operations, Planning, Finance, Sanitation, and Maintenance to achieve logistics and broader plant goals.

Utilize inventory management tools such as WMS/SAP/Excel.Understand and comply with the plant food and human safety policy. This includes, but is not limited to, having a thorough knowledge of GMP, PPE, regulatory, and sanitation requirements.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree5 years of relevant experienceLeadership experience in a manufacturing environment or other applicable experience.

Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Able to work and/or attend meetings during other shifts (including off-shifts and/or weekends)PREFERED QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in Logistics, Management, or Supply Chain Management preferredSound analytical skills and business judgment including problem-solving & trouble-shooting skills.
