Job Description:
VACU Investment Group (VACUIG) is expanding our wealth management team throughout Virginia- Greater Richmond Area, Blacksburg, Roanoke, Harrisonburg, VA Beach, Norfolk Williamsburg & Lynchburg.The role of the investment consultant is to establish value-added relationships with VACU members, to understand their financial needs and to offer solutions for those needs. VACUIG is in partnership with Ameriprise Financial Group AMPF who serves as our Broker/Dealer. The candidate for this position will be an employee of AMPF, working within the VACU branches.Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Prospecting within the financial institution by establishing relationships with other client facing associates in order to generate referrals. This duty is performed weekly, about 20% of the time. Prospect outside the financial institution in order to build external referral sources as well as bringing new clients to the bank. This duty is performed weekly, about 15% of the time.
Sell effectively by establishing relationships with customers, determining their needs and offering appropriate solutions in a manner that the customer sees the value, as well as understands the features and benefits of the products offered. This duty is performed daily, about 35% of the time.
Engage in customer relationship management activities to increase wallet share per client and seek cross referral opportunities to other associates within the bank. This duty is performed weekly, about 20% of the time.
Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED:* High school or equivalent
* Series 7, 63/65 or 66 licenses (Active) (or to be obtained within 120 days of hire)
* Highly self-motivated, creative, and decisive
* Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients' needs and issues
* Exceptional verbal, written and listening communications skills with the ability to communicate with other departments within the firm to achieve goals and deadlines, superior customer service skills
* 1 - 3+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor or supporting a Financial Advisor team, financial planning, integrations, training, and experience with a CRM, preferably Retail.
* Proficient in financial services products/services, previous financial advisor
* Robust consulting, influencing and client engagement skills
* Demonstrated ability to display and maintain a highly professional demeanor, honesty, integrity and unwavering business ethics consistent with IPI values and brandAdditional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Can deliver a unique client experience
* 3-5 years of relevant experience in high volume customer contact, call service center
* Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft applications
* Can demonstrate accountability of key results
* Master all building relationships with customers
* Ability to problem solve quickly in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional phone skills
Communication Skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Benefits
