Many UHP physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents, fellows, and medical students. The UMKC SOM accepts students directly out of high school for a six-year combined baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine program. The UMKC SOM Graduate Medical Education program supports over 30 residencies and fellowships.

Job Description

University Health Physicians

and the UMKC Department of OB/GYN seek a BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty member to join our very busy practice serving high acuity patients. The position reports to the Chair of OB/GYN, Anthony Odibo, MD, who serves as the academic chair for the UMKC SOM and clinical chair for UH.

UH Truman Medical Center is the only Level IV designated maternal care center in western Missouri and has a brand new state of the art Level 3 NICU and newly remodeled Labor and Delivery, postpartum and OB Emergency Room.

The UMKC SOM Department of OB/GYN has a residency program, maternal-fetal medicine fellowship program, a newly approved Urogynecology and Pelvic

surgery fellowship and a pediatric and adolescent gynecology fellowship program.

In addition to MFM, the major subspecialties are represented in the Department including Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology and academic specialists in OBGYN. Ample opportunities for research and academic achievement are provided in the Department.
