THE OPPORTUNITY
Fund Solutions Tax Analyst Position
Cambridge Associates (CA) is looking for a Tax Analyst to join the Fund Solutions team located in Boston, MA. Fund Solutions is a growing team, acting as a key component for CA fund vehicles that serve a wide range of clients and colleagues. The Tax Analyst will be a core member of the Fund Solutions Tax Operations group with both operational and tax responsibilities. This role will have the opportunity to assist with various special projects from time to time. We are seeking a detailed oriented individual who has a strong work ethic, is a team player, and is someone who can build strong working relationships (internal and external). Additionally, this individual should possess effective time management skills as this is critical to the overall success within this role (i.e., ability to multitask and meet deadlines).
Responsibilities
The tax operational responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Support the review of tax workpapers/allocations, Schedule K-1/K-3, Federal, State and local tax returns prepared by third party tax provider adhering to the necessary internal controls.
• Gather all necessary tax documents from the various fund managers that correspond to CA's fund investments.
• Communicate with fund managers related to tax documents questions.
• Coordinate electronic signatures and tax payments internally and externally.
• Participate in regular meetings and communicate with internal and external contacts.
• Work with Seniors on maintaining internal tracker for the different tax deliverables throughout the year.
• Learn how to work as part of the Fund Solutions team to support Senior Management and take on additional tasks or projects as needed.
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of public accounting or tax experience in Hedge Fund and Private Equity Industry strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or a related field.
• State local or international tax experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
