ResponsibilitiesResponsible for producing high quality financial analysis and reporting to assist the business with informed decision making and support our internal and external customers.

Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.

Analyze and compare monthly and quarterly results, metrics and key performance indicators against plan and other benchmarks.

Complete month-end close activities and related entries and reconciliations within established deadlines.

Detailed review and analysis of multiple key areas including fixed assets, prepaid, leases and accruals.

Conducts insightful variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecasts as part of monthly financial reporting package.

Prepares and coordinates with appropriate team members on monthly senior management reporting package.

Develop and maintain financial models, trend and scenario analysis to support business with financial and strategic initiatives.

Perform ROI analysis and maintain scorecard of all Capital Projects and provide status of projects and spend on monthly basis.

Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline workflow enabling increased focus on analytics.

Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support our business partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial reporting/analysis experience required.

Property/Casualty insurance industry experience preferred but not required.

CPA or MBA is a plus.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.

Superior analytical skills and a thorough understanding of GAAP principles required.

Possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to details. Effectively sets priorities, takes accountability and achieves results.

Possess strong problem-solving skills along with sense of ownership and accountability.

Capable of building solid working relationships with peers and management.

Advanced skills in MS Office Suite are a requirement. SQL Management Studio and spreadsheet modeling skills are a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
