Logistics ManagerSummaryProvide oversight and technical guidance for daily Outbound Shipment operations ensuring the safe, legal tender of products to our carriers. Responsible to ensure compliance with all relevant distribution laws and regulations. Accountable for the accuracy and traceability for the products in preparation for the shipment process from the company to the transportation carrier network.
Manages end to end Domestic and International logistics for all products.Key Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsManage the creation process of the domestic and international shipping documentation based on orders entered by our Customer Service GroupOversee the reconciliation of outgoing packages as prepared by the Product Shipment Team to confirm that proper labeling is in place and shipping documentation is presentManage the transfer of product to Carrier network with all internal policies and requirements to ensure the safe and legal tender of our products worldwideConfirm that End of Day shipping manifests are printed, align with freight being released to the carrier, and signed and making sure the shipping dock is well organized and stocked with necessary items to facilitate shipping activitiesOTIF process to ensure tracking of outbound packages are delivered within the requested delivery dates and timeMonitor packages in transit and report the OTIF and communicate with couriers to troubleshoot delayed packagesTroubleshoot any courier delays and provide a long-term solution to avoid encountering any future delivery delaysAbility to work cross functionally with various departments (Customer Service, Finance, etc.)Ability to book charter flights and ground transportation for a short shelf-life products via specialized couriersStrong organizational skillsStrong attention to detailQuick problem-solving skillsFreight accruals on a monthly basis, receive and review monthly courier aging reports and create final monthly freight accrualsWork closely with finance on the monthly freight Journal EntryKnowledge of freight budget tracking, is able to review monthly outbound and inbound freight charges and report back unfavourability or favorability against the freight budgetBasic QualificationsBA/BS degree or equivalent with 3 years’ experience with responsibility for distribution logistics operations shipping hazardous materials and radiopharmaceuticals or equivalent.Other RequirementsMust complete relevant certifications, tests, DOT and IATA and or exams required for compliance with internal standards and regulatory agencies within established timeline for position.Handling of and, or exposure to potentially hazardous chemical, radiological and or biological materials. Required to follow all safety procedures and use personal and protective equipment provided.Routine and or frequent lifting; with reasonable accommodations.
