SummaryAs an Electrical Engineer on the detector's development team, you will have a key role in the design and development of new X-ray detectors. You will be a member of a team that is responsible for the hardware design, hardware bring-up/testing, generation of requirements, and verification of the detector. This will include experiments and tests to ensure the reliability of components, processes, and techniques to deliver exceptional products. Job Description
ResponsibilitiesDesigns hardware to support features that are contained in the product definition.Hardware and system bring-up, troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis, testing, and verification.Troubleshoot and debug noise and other issues down to root causes with respect to circuit design, firmware, PCB and component failures to improve quality and reliability.Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team: electrical, mechanical, software, technical support, production, and suppliers to release the product.Participate in and support reviews held by other engineers on related projects and provides useful feedback.Mentors and develops engineers and technicians.Minimum Requirements / Knowledge
B.S. in Electrical Engineering5+ years of relevant experienceElectrical engineer with understanding of analog and digital circuit board design.Familiar with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.Experience with instruments such as high-speed oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.Preferred Knowledge
Professional experience designing and debugging low noise analog and mixed-signal circuits such as op-amps, control loops, DACs, ADCs, FPGAs, DRAM memory interfaces, multi-GHz signals, linear, and switching regulators.Experience with circuit board design with an understanding of signal integrity and power distribution network design.Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB, SerDes, I2C, SMBus, etc (preferable)Develop emulation/prototype systems using FPGA and with algorithm development experience. Xilinx preferableExperience with medical devices and medical device engineering processes.Ability to Travel
Occasional travel may be required. 1 to 3 times per year for duration of 2 to 10 days.Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.
