Medical Assistant

Location(s) : Hyannis, Sandwich & Falmouth
Job description:Coverage as needed for different clinical teams (direct patient care and/or administrative)Act as first contact with patients in clinical areas.Obtain and input (via EHR) medical histories, vitals, medications and Meaningful Use Information (MIP).Set up injections, assist with injections, if required.Field, triage and address patient calls.Daily maintenance of exam rooms stock, biohazard bins & sharps containers.Complete other duties assigned by providers and Clinical Manager.This is an abbreviated job description .
Education and experience:
High school diploma or GED (required)Medical Assistant (with or without certification), CNA or ATCPhysical requirement:
Ability to walk and stand continuously for at least four hours.Ability to transfer patient from wheelchair to exam table or chair, if necessary.Ability to lift and hold limbs as needed.Schedule:
