This role is responsible for recruiting team members to participate in the training program, educating team members about the program, familiarizing themselves with participants and answering any questions regarding the training. This role also creates, maintains and reports on the records of the training.Responsibilities:Delivers the Bridging the Gap medical interpreter training across HMH bilingual team members.Conducts the various Bridging the Gap medical interpreter training including but not limited to 40 hour medical interpreter training, 64 hour medical interpreter training and mental health interpreter training.Prepares for and reports on training. 4. Develops an organized agenda for each training session.Familiar with the participants of each training based on their names, where they are currently working, current role (job, position, etc) and the experience they bring to the training.Prepares for each training session with engaging activities.Responds to questions from participants and/or their leaders before, during and after their training.Communicates with the Cross Culture Health Care Program (CCHCP) team.Replies and communicates promptly with the CCHCP team regarding any concerns.Maintains and shares organized records of activities related training.Attends occasional meetings regarding program updates and changes.Provides on-site recruiting of bilingual team members at all locations across HMH for their assessment and training.Collaborates with HMH leaders on scheduling their bilingual team members for the training.Educates HMH team members and leaders on training program.Participates in the HMH 'Welcome Home' meetings on the Language Services presentation.Other duties and/or projects as assigned.Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.Qualifications:

Associate's degree.Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in medical interpreting.Bilingual - fluent in English and languages other than English.Work experience in multilingual and multicultural environments.Experience in training adults or as a medical interpreter trainer/teacher; or experience as a facilitator in professional/workforce settings.Excellent teaching and facilitation skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Superior organizational abilities, follow-up, and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.Secure access to the internet for remote training.Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:Bachelor's degree.Continuing education in medical interpretation competencies and medical terminology.Licenses and Certifications Required:Certificate of successful competition of BTG or a comparable medical interpreter training program (minimum 40 hours) and/or willing to acquire within one (1) year of hire.Licenses and Certifications Preferred:CCHI or NBCMI (national medical interpreter certification, MITI test, or state certification as a medical or health care interpreter.
