Overview

As a Civil Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., you'll manage civil and environmental engineering projects primarily associated with solid waste facilities. These projects will involve preparation, review and compilation of permit applications, proposals, and technical reports; management of engineering tasks such as airspace and soil balance volume calculations, slope stability and settlement analysis, stormwater management system design, leachate management system design, and landfill gas collection system design; and management of Construction Quality Assurance projects including landfill cell liner/leachate collection systems, gas collection systems, cap construction, and environmental monitoring of landfill facilities. You will be interacting with CEC office and field staff, clients, regulators, and contractors. Your effort will be part of the overall completion of landfill design, permitting, and construction projects.

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering;

5-8 years professional engineering experience;Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through writing;Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks;Ability to take direction and complete assigned projects and tasks;Organizational skills;Ambition with a desire to learn and apply new skills;P.E. certification preferred;Experience with HELP Model, HydroCAD, Slide, KYPipe, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
