Meta is seeking a passionate Electrical Engineer to join our Compute Hardware Design team. Our team is responsible for designing custom Accelerator modules to support our fast growing infrastructure at scale. Internally, we work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver production ready modules for Meta's industry-leading custom AI silicon. Externally, we work closely with industry partners to ensure high-quality product delivery and drive key technology roadmaps.
Electrical Engineer, Power Responsibilities
Develop board power delivery and DC-DC voltage conversion technologySpecify, design, and develop power delivery and DC-DC power conversion in high-power AI modulesLead the bring-up, validation of power subsystem to achieve highest efficiency, reliability, and scale-abilitySupport hyper-scale deployment and proactively gather learning for next generation designCollaborate with open source hardware community to drive innovation for large scale infrastructureMinimum Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Degree, with 6+ years of industry experienceExperience with validation and design of on-board DC-DC voltage regulators (e.g. Control schemes, Power Stage MOSFETs, Magnetics and Decoupling) and hot-swap circuitry (e.g. Controller ICs, MOSFET Load Switches, and Current Sense Amplifiers)Experience with high power and high current subsystems of CPU, GPU, SoC, ASIC and/or FPGA, and related schematic and PCB designExperience with analyzing and resolving power delivery related hardware issuesFamiliar with schematic and PCB CAD programsExperience working with peers and cross functional teamsPreferred Qualifications
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics8+ years of relevant industry experience in on-board power delivery validation and designExperience with end-to-end power delivery network design, simulation (e.g. SIMPLIS, Sigrity PowerDC/SI, ANSYS SIWave or equivalent) and board level correlationExperience with design and troubleshooting of power management interfaces (e.g. PMBus, AVS, SVID, & SVI2)Delivery of high power production solution for CPU, Network, or AI siliconFamiliar with defining specification and validation of power connectors, cable assemblies, and fusesFamiliar with NPI hardware design and deployment cycleKnowledge of using Linux for testing and automation/script developmentExperience with development of test automation for power validation

$170,000/year to $240,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
