Together, we create inspired solutions that improve lives.We are searching for a Technology Systems Designer in our Tampa studio.
The purpose of this position is to design a variety of Information Systems and Technology building systems for healthcare, higher education, and research facilities; work alongside the engineers and project managers on development of systems drawings using different software programs; participate in project team meetings with other disciplines; and provide design feedback for engineering analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems design according to the local codes and facilities design guidelines
Perform design specific to the low-voltage systems including telecommunications, nurse call, audio/visual, security/access control, intercom, paging, sound reinforcement, clock, video distribution, and wireless antenna systems.Recommend alterations to the design to improve quality.Follow applicable codes, adopted engineering standards, and good engineering practices.
Multi-discipline coordination
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate drawings.Support regional studios with low voltage design.Provide feedback about CAD and Revit content for continuous improvement.
Project delivery support
Be responsible for all aspects of low-voltage design within designated projects.Prepare support documents and calculations for engineering analysis, budget analysis, and equipment selection.Conduct surveys to gather field data.Prepare drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.Perform construction site visits with engineer as part of the construction quality assurance process.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with project schedules.Promote company reputation through good client relations.Assist with BIM standards development at BSA.May be required to perform other duties as assigned.Critical Skills and Abilities :

Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws is preferred.Computer skills required:
Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps.
AutoCAD, Revit, 3D CAD experience preferred
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in applicable field is preferred, but not required.BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is preferred, but not required.0-3 years related experience in building systems design is preferred.
