Shive-Hattery's Valparaiso IN office presents an exciting opening for a Civil Engineer to boost our Transportation, Water Resources, and/or Municipal practice. The ideal candidate would be ready to take on an exciting challenge leading projects and having primary client responsibility.
As a member of our Public Works and Infrastructure team you'll explore the intricacies of designing complex infrastructure, shaping your professional journey and leaving a lasting mark on the area we serve.

Responsibilities will include leading the design effort on municipal projects, being responsible for client communications, design decisions and producing a high quality experience for our clients and team members.
Project types may include a vast array of public works and public infrastructure related projects. Successful candidates will have the ability to influence the type of projects Shive-Hattery pursues for future work.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldExperience: 6+ years of civil engineering experienceLicense/Certification: Professional Engineer license in Indiana or the ability to obtain the licenseWorking as a design leader in collaborative with a design teamExperience with direct client interactionExperience with: State and local standards, procedures, and collaboration with cities or counties
