The Post-Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing post-procurement activities, ensuring that procured goods and services meet project requirements and are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. This role is essential in a construction environment, where efficient material and service management is critical to project success. The Post-Procurement Manager will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve any issues that arise after purchase and to streamline the handover and usage of procured items.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Supplier Relationship Management :Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication channels for post-procurement support, issue resolution, and product/service performance feedback.Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and negotiate service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance with contractual terms.Delivery and Logistics Oversight :Monitor the delivery and quality of procured items, coordinating with logistics teams to ensure timely arrival at project sites.Resolve any discrepancies between ordered and delivered items, managing any replacement or corrective measures needed.Quality Control and Compliance :Ensure all procured materials and services meet the company's quality and compliance standards, conducting inspections and quality checks as necessary.Work with the quality assurance team to document and address non-compliance issues, including substandard materials or deviations from specifications.Post-Delivery Support :Act as a primary point of contact for post-delivery issues, including handling complaints, requests for product returns, or service failures.Coordinate with suppliers to provide after-sales support and resolve any warranty or service-related issues.Documentation and Reporting :Maintain comprehensive records of post-procurement activities, including tracking delivery schedules, documentation of issues, and corrective actions taken.Generate periodic reports on post-procurement performance, supplier compliance, and cost efficiency, providing insights for continuous improvement.Risk Management :Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with post-procurement processes, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and contractual disputes.Develop and implement contingency plans to address delivery delays or material shortages that could impact project timelines.Collaboration with Internal Teams :Work closely with the project management, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement outcomes with project needs and budget constraints.Collaborate with the procurement team to refine procurement strategies based on post-procurement learnings and supplier performance data.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in post-procurement roles, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.Proficiency in Sage and procurement management software.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with quality standards and compliance regulations specific to the construction industry.Benefits
