A leading Property & Casualty Insurance company is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Customer Service Representative/Underwriter. This exciting hybrid role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while leveraging your underwriting expertise.
Responsibilities :
Deliver exceptional customer service to policyholders and potential clients through various channels (phone, email, in-person).Efficiently handle inquiries, resolve issues, and provide guidance on policy coverage, claims, and billing.Process policy changes, renewals, and cancellations with accuracy and speed.Evaluate new and renewal insurance applications, assessing risk and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.Analyze loss history, property information, and other relevant factors to make informed underwriting decisions.Adhere to company underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with producers and underwriters to ensure seamless policy issuance.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, policy information, and underwriting decisions.Prepare reports and documentation as needed.Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and product updates.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.Valid Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain one).Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or insurance.Strong understanding of insurance principles and underwriting guidelines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Willingness to work in our Brooklyn, NY, KJ, or Florida offices.
