As a Busser, you will be an integral part of the dining team, ensuring that guests have a clean and pleasant dining experience. Your responsibilities will include clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Table Maintenance:**- Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart, ensuring tables are clean and ready for the next guests.
- Remove used dishes, glasses, silverware, and other items from tables and take them to the dishwashing area.
- Replace table settings as needed, including linens, silverware, and glassware.
**Customer Assistance:**- Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Refill water glasses and replenish bread, butter, and other table items as needed.
**Cleanliness and Organization:**- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and service stations.
- Ensure that service areas are stocked with necessary supplies, such as napkins, silverware, and condiments.
- Assist in the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including restrooms and entryways.
**Team Support:**- Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Assist in preparing the dining area for service, including setting up tables and arranging seating.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and training sessions as required.
**Health and Safety:**
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Restaurant Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Ensure that all areas are safe and free of hazards, promptly addressing any issues that arise.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- **Experience:** Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is a plus.
- **Skills:**
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed.
**Work Schedule:**
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Shifts may vary based on business needs.
