Description

90% - Equipment Handling:

•Loads and unloads trailers.

•Determines placement of product and transports to designated area.

•Positions lifting device under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.

•Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

•Reads work order or follows oral instructions to identify product to be moved. Reviews customer orders and determines location of the product.

•Attaches identifying tag(s) or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

•Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.

•At most facilities, completes a daily job card to accurately record job codes, order numbers, and timekeeping.

•Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

•Rethrows cases and builds make up units.

•Loads materials into vehicles; installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting/damage in transit.

•Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

•Operates handheld scanners (RF Equipment), computer systems (WMS), and may manually input additional data.

•Refuels equipment: Fills fuel tank, replaces liquefied gas tank, or recharges batteries.

5% - Communication Duties:

•Participates in Cl events as requested.

•Communicates internally with warehouse, office, and management personnel.

•Maintains self-composure in stressful circumstances.

5% - Safety:

•Completes daily forklift inspection sheets

•Follows general safety practices, including proper use of PPE and timely reporting of accidents/safety concerns.

•Follows food safety processes and ensures work areas are clean and free from hazards.

•Reports any food safety issues to UF Management.

•Attends and engages in safety meetings and discussions.
