Role Summary
Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Service Manager to support the Service Manager in overseeing the service department's daily operations. The Assistant Service Manager will help ensure a high level of customer service, coordinate workflow, and contribute to the department's efficiency and profitability.
More about the roleAssist the Service Manager in managing the service department, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standardHelp address customer inquiries and concerns, providing clear explanations of services and repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.Assist in scheduling service appointments, assigning work to technicians, and monitoring the progress of repairs to meet deadlines.Review completed repairs to ensure quality standards are met and address any discrepancies or customer concerns.Assist in training, coaching, and motivating the service team to achieve performance goals and deliver excellent customer service.Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.Occasionally communicate with customers to get a pulse on their experience and gather feedback to improve service quality.What we look for
Previous experience in an automotive service department, preferably in a leadership role.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a customer-focused approach.Basic understanding of automotive repair processes and diagnostic procedures.Ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Benefits
