Make Your Mark at Prysmian! OverviewAs the Production Manager, you will lead the charge in creating a work environment that prioritizes the safety of all employees. At the same time, you will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency and ensuring the consistent production of high-quality products that are delivered on time to customers within established cost targets.The Production Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for managing the manufacturing process of the value stream. They are tasked with effectively utilizing materials, labor, and equipment to meet the business plan while ensuring a safe work environment. The VSM oversees the total production of the value stream, including safety records, production requirements, defect levels, waste, and work order attainment. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and effective production processes to meet customer demands while staying within established cost targets.Responsibilities:Champions health and safety, environment, and 6S programsCoordinates with Engineering and Quality to eliminate waste and improve process capability.Uses continuous improvement tools and methodologies to troubleshoot recurring issues and eliminate root-cause process failures.Assures availability of all resources necessary to operate the value stream, including adequate labor, technical and maintenance resources, and all other required direct support.Coordinates with Production Control and associates, schedule sequencing and load leveling in the cells.Performs other related duties as requiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Results driven with a demonstrated ability to work in a high-performance manufacturing environment.Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with excellent attention to detail.Ability to motivate, communicate and lead continuous improvement.Excellent analytical abilities.Solid planning, organization, and administrative skills.Familiarity with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent3-5 Years of leadership experienceGreenbelt certification desiredManufacturing management experience, preferably in a team-based environment a plusWork Environment/Physical Demands:Manufacturing shop floor & office environmentPrysmian is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
