Salary: $100,000 - 140,000/year

This position allows for 2 days per week remote / work from home after training.

We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and implementation of fire alarm and lighting systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering, along with experience in safety systems and architectural lighting design. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety standards and enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of our projects.

ResponsibilitiesSystem Design:

Develop detailed designs for fire alarm and lighting systems, including equipment selection, layout, and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, etc.).Load Calculations:

Perform electrical load calculations to determine circuit requirements and ensure the safety and efficiency of electrical systems.Project Coordination:

Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs and layouts.Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design reports for client review and regulatory approvals.Quality Assurance:

Review and validate design work to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with safety standards.Site Assessments:

Conduct site visits to evaluate existing systems, assess conditions, and gather data for design improvements or upgrades.Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and best practices for fire alarm and lighting systems.Client Interaction:

Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in fire alarm and lighting design, preferably within a consulting or engineering firm.Licensure:

Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; EIT may be considered for entry-level positions.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and fire alarm/life safety system design tools.Knowledge:

Strong understanding of fire protection principles, lighting design concepts, and relevant codes and standards.Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
