About the PositionWe are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Peachtree Corners, GA. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of related experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will perform power systems design for power, chemical, pharmaceutical, and process industry clients across the United States. The ideal candidate will have prior A&E experience and a background in consulting engineering. Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to design projects. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter.Experience and QualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or universityPE preferred or anticipated.5 years of related experience at a A&E firm as a consulting design engineer. The successful candidate will be prepared to discuss prior design projects in detail.Strong understanding of the NEC, electric power systems, protective relaying principles, and coordination methodologiesExperience with software such as SKM, ETAP, and AutoCAD.Familiarity with communications protocols such as IEC61850, NDP3, and ModbusFamiliarity with load flow studiesAbility to perform relay coordination studies, short circuit studies, and arc flash analysisAbility to work well within a team environment, possess a positive attitude, multi-task, and be self-motivated to produce high-quality work.Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally.Additional Preferred QualificationsStrong experience with software such as SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, CDEGS, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIMExperience specifying medium and low voltage electrical equipment such as MCCs, switchgear, induction motors, synchronous motors (brushed/brushless), and VFDsAbility to perform static and dynamic load flow studiesComfortable managing client relationships, identifying changes in scope, and coordinating with other engineering disciplinesAbout PondPond is an award-winning, full-service architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, and environmental services firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for nearly 60 years. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Electrical Engineer III with a salary range of $74,800.00 - $114,300.00 .Additional cash incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on position offered.
