Position Overview

As a member of the Brand & Creative Team, reporting to the Director of Brand & Creative, the Copywriter will work with the Sr. Art Director, Designers, Product Development, Merchandising, Ecomm, Sales and Marketing teams to support the efforts the business by delivering high-quality and engaging communications and advertising that motivates customers to purchase our products and to continue their engagement with the GOVMINT brand. The Copywriter is accountable for writing compelling and descriptive copy that is well organized, carefully researched, well written and highly responsive.

Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities Evolve copywriting for the GOVMINT brand through thought-leadership, passion for storytelling and a strong desire to contemporize the craft of writing. Write engaging, action-orientated copy for all marketing and selling channels including catalog, direct mail, print ads, collateral, landing pages, email, TV, video and direct response channels. Assist in copywriting for social channels, website and blog. Develop copy strategies that outline when and where to apply long-form copy, bite-sized copy while generating varying on-brand messages for different audience segments at different points in the customer journey and conversion funnel. Assist in the development of content/copy style guides & playbooks. Blend rich storytelling that builds our GOVMINT brand with persuasive messaging that entices customers to act. Participate in all creative kick-off and brainstorm meetings pertaining to writing assignments. Work directly with cross-functional teams to obtain clear project objectives and rationale as well as all necessary research and background information to ensure well-presented copy materials. Responsible for proofreading/editing to ensure all copy is factually accurate and grammatically correct and monitor overall quality of printed pieces. Work with graphic designers and art directors for timely execution of layout and design and to ensure project objectives are met and quality readership of copy is attained. Ensure all copy is well organized, well written, and meets project positioning and objectives. Self-prioritize workload and work with Project Managers to assure projects are delivered on time. Explore, adopt and utilize new technologies and automation (i.e. generative AI) to improve speed, efficiency and customization of the copy content. Present work at Creative Reviews for critique and input from Leadership, Product Development, Marketing and Legal. Ensure that all copy writing conforms to corporate Advertising Guidelines as published by Executive Leadership. Serve as Editor/contributor for company newsletter and related corporate communications. Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities

Serve as a member of the Brand & Creative Team and support others as necessary. Assisting with copy style guides and tone of voice refinement when needed. Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs. Be innovative and creative in written communications-always looking for new ways to celebrate the coins we are offering. Actively and positively contribute to the overall success of GOVMINT through regular contributions to the general management of the company. Participate and provide thought-leadership in inter-departmental meetings, projects and informal activities. Support the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial. Responsible to ensure the confidentiality and full complete safeguarding the company's trade secrets and any of our business clients' customer lists and related records. Educational Requirements

4-year English or Journalism college degree and/or 3 -5 years of copywriting experience. Required Experience and Skills

3 to 5 years of advertising copywriting experience, including catalog and direct response copy. Experience developing copy across Programs with numerous touchpoints across print and digital. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with particular emphasis on strong storytelling skills and the ability to tailor written messages to a variety of different customer segments. Ability to translate sales points into compelling reasons to purchase. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage time efficiently; work on many projects simultaneously, and to meet stringent deadlines. Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent knowledge of English spelling, grammar, style sheets, and composition. Excellent knowledge of Word, and Excel Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software, especially InDesign a plus. Previous experience working in a direct response marketing environment is helpful. Previous experience in coins, collectibles, and other high-end, aspirational niche product lines preferred.
