As a Material Handler Team Lead you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!Primary ResponsibilitiesSupervise, train, and guide material handlers to ensure smooth workflow in receiving, storing, and distributing materials.Coordinate material deliveries to and from production lines and storage areas.Ensure inventory accuracy by overseeing materials management processes, including tracking and reporting inventory levels.Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to meet manufacturing schedules and maintain product flow.Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when needed.Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of materials.Maintain 5S standards in all areas of responsibility to promote an organized and efficient work environment.Address any material shortages, delays, or discrepancies, and work with the team to resolve issues promptlyQualifications2+ years of experience in material handling, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.Forklift operating experience is essential.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and material flow.Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead a team effectively and promote a safe, efficient work environment.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
