BRANCH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Branch Executive Director reports directly to the Vice President of Impact and Engagement and is responsible for all aspects of operations including budget development, membership recruitment, fiscal management and control, management of the facilities/grounds/equipment, program development, promotion and marketing, volunteer and staff development, strategic planning, personnel administration, annual campaign fundraising, risk management, and Branch Impact Council development. In addition, this position helps educate, motivate, and inspire branch staff and volunteers in implementing best practices. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to partner with volunteers, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure goals are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A BRANCH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR :
In coordination with the VP, lead organizational level changeMaintain a culture of best-in-class customer serviceServe as a leader in branch fundraising activities for the Annual Support Campaign to provide financial assistance for programs, and the solicitation of funds to support the branch's goals and objectives.Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and attend and participate in monthly meetings.Develop and monitor strategies for ensuring long-term fiscal management and financial viability and mentor Program Directors who are responsible for department specific budgets.Achieve budgeted financial objectives.Supervise staff to ensure that sound operation principles are in practice. Be accountable for the financial performance of these units.Provide leadership for program development and coordination of departments, providing outreach programs to meet the needs of special and non-traditional segments of the communityIdentify potential areas for department cooperative programming to accomplish organizational goalsAssist staff in the planning, development, training, and implementation of new program focuses and activitiesCoordinate, monitor, and update Y program practices and guidelinesCoordinate the training of Y staff, including staff programs focusing on mission, expectations, and customer serviceBe responsible for the implementation of program evaluation system throughout the Y to guarantee faithfulness to YMCA purpose, high quality, and maintenance of Y standardsBe responsible for branch and statistical reportsAct as the representative of the YMCA of Southern Arizona by developing positive relationships with local community partners, volunteers and the general public.Monitor monthly financial reports to ensure that revenue targets are met and expenses are controlledBe responsible for customer relations, including complaint resolutionCollaborate with the Branch Impact Council to define and articulate the branch's vision as part of a larger Association and to develop strategies for achieving that vision.Be responsible for coordinating the marketing for all branch and organizational programsBe responsible for the operational growth of the branch through program expansion, customer recruitment and retention, pricing strategies, new site development, collaborations, mergers, and acquisitionsDeliver high quality member and program servicesAdhere to all YMCA of Southern Arizona policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned*This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. REQUIREMENTS OF A BRANCH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR :
Minimum Bachelor's degree required with six or more years of professional experiences (non-profit settings preferred)YMCA Multi-Team or Branch leadership certification preferredSignificant experience in all aspects of day-to-day operations of non-profit business, including administration, supervision, and program developmentDeep understanding of the philosophy of the YMCA as it relates to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental safety and learning of the members, staff, volunteers, and stake holdersIntermediate or advanced knowledge of information technology and data management programsMust be highly organized and possess the ability to work with confidential mattersOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially with disparate audiencesExtensive experience with program evaluation, statistical analysis, organization, and planning skills as well as relational skills, integrity, flexibility, and the ability to focus during the midst of commotionKnowledge of quality program development and implementation, innovation, continuous improvement, and sound financial practicesMust be able to work a flexible scheduleCurrent Fingerprint Clearance CardAt least 21 years of ageCurrent CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications or completion within thirty days of hireCompletion of YMCA's online training within seven (7) days of hirePrevious experience with diverse populations and/or the ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgroundsFULL TIME BENEFITS:
