Job DescriptionAZZ has an opportunity for an Asst. Operations Manager / Plant Superintendent at our St. Louis, MO facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will help lead production and maintenance supervisor(s), and supporting staff, providing leadership and expertise that will help drive safety, productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will develop great relationships with our team and strive to promote a great culture within our facility. You will have great problem-solving skills and address productivity, processes, and quality issues at the source to resolve them. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlans, coordinates, and maintains the daily manufacturing operations of the company through subordinate supervisors.Collaborates with the Operations Manger to establish short-term and long-term goals, objectives, plans, processes, best practices, and policies for manufacturing. Reviews operating results of the company, compares them to established objectives, and takes measures to correct any unsatisfactory results. Establishes tools for creating and expanding upon current processes. Establish training of supervisors and leads to achieve the facilities goals and personal development objectives.Provides guidance and direction to carry out major plans, standards, and procedures consistent with company and corporate goals and policies.Ensures that company activities and operations are compliant with legal and ethical guidelines.Manages facility schedules and staffing plans to meet demand.Capable of building relationships with supporting staff and able to coach and mentor subordinates to optimize growth potential. Other duties as assigned.QualificationsProficient in all Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word. Must be comfortable navigating through different software programs.Prior supervisory/leadership experience or training, industrial maintenance, and production scheduling experience, preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsANY galvanizing experience preferred.Prior knowledge of Oracle preferred.Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.
