The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (THL), a private equity firm.Responsibilities:Electrician (Maintenance Tech IV)$40-$50/hr DOEPosition Summary:Our 8th Avenue Maintenance Technician roles are accountable for successful, timely, and accurate repair and maintenance of production and packaging equipment. Our Maintenance Technicians regularly inspect equipment, structures, material for wear and tear, and are accountable for completing work orders and ad hoc repairs assigned to them. The Maintenance team should safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, basic electrical testing equipment to perform these tasks, along with annual preventative maintenance tasks to ensure our equipment produces our food products are manufactured in a safely, efficiently, and according to quality and food safety standards.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform daily maintenance tasks and troubleshooting of packaging and production equipment and systems, including: extruder, dryers, high speed packaging including cartoners, baggers, case-packers, palletizers, low pressure boilers, thermal fluid process heaters, material handling systems, water chillers, compressed air systems, and HVAC systemsPartner with operations and maintenance teams to solve repetitive problems, complete preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance responsibilities in a safe, effective, and compliant mannerPartner with operations to learn operating systems, while providing training on mechanical componentsTrain operations staff on operating systems and operator basic care responsibilitiesResponsible for taking necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observedOther duties, as assignedEducation & Experience Required:High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution and one or more of the following:Two-year Associates Degree or higher in technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.)Completed apprenticeship in mechanic, mechanical maintenance, or electro-mechanical, electrical, or related fieldMilitary training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)2+ years hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation role1+ years experience as operator in a food manufacturing facilityPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills:Possession of valid Oregon millwright manufacturing card/licensePrevious maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facilityPrevious experience reading blueprints and schematicsPrevious experience with MIG, TIG, and stick weldingPrevious experience with power transmission components; belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gearsPrevious experience with drill presses, lathes, Bridgeport-type millsExperience with operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated liftsPhysical Requirements:
