Job DescriptionWood is currently recruiting for a Materials Coordinator with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for initiating procurement of and then management of goods and services supporting small facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of that plant's capital project's group.Responsibilities Work with the site's project engineering group, and others to understand what materials, rentals, and services are needed for capital projects. Confer with suppliers to gather quotes, availability, delivery schedules, and other useful information about materials, rentals, and services to be ordered for each project. Work with site procurement to determine the proper method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid. Review bills of materials and create purchase requisitions for project materials, rentals, and services. Expedite delivery of materials, rentals, and services to the site. Maintain awareness of what materials and rental equipment have arrived, where they are stored, and when they are used on each project. Amend/supplement Purchas Orders for payment as needed. Review and close invoices in SAP.Qualifications Five + years' experience working as a materials coordinator or expediter, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry. Exceptional communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
