Packer/Helper

in

Dallas, TX

to assist press operators by boxing labels as they come off the presses. Responsibilities include preparing and labeling cartons, packing labels into boxes, stacking on pallets, assisting in machine setup and clean up, and miscellaneous general duties.

Shift Available

7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 12-hr shift (alternating 3 days one week and 4 days the next week)

Your Responsibilities:Respond to direction of press operators.Verify quality of product as it is produced and prior to packing. Call any quality problems to the attention of the press operator.Prepare cartons and pack labels to keep up with machine output. Handle labels so as to prevent any damage to finished forms.Ensure that specified carton counts are met and that numbered forms are packed according to instructions.Check that labels match the job run and bring any errors to the attention of the press operator.Learn basic functions of the equipment so as to be able to assist in machine set up and to monitor the equipment during the absence of the operator. Operate pallet jack as necessary to move pallets.Inspect and rework returned product as necessary.Follow safety procedures and assist in the upkeep of the work area.Requirements Within This Position:

Attention to detailGood verbal communication skillsAbility to perform physical requirements (standing for most of a 12-hr shift, being able to lift up to 40 pounds consistently, and limited time away from work station)Ability to perform repetitive motionAbility to work as a team member, follow verbal and written instructions, and learn to apply new procedures and methodsAbility to operate pallet jack and other production equipmentBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplicationAbility to read a rulerMust demonstrate mechanical aptitude
