Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Job Objective:As the Assistant Clinical Director, you will provide vision and direction to the staff for all programmatic functions of The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center. The program functions include Assessment/Referral, Withdrawal Management/Detoxification, Residential Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Program, Program Gambling Treatment, 3.1 Residential Services and Transitional Housing. Provide oversight of all mental health aspects of the program. Ensure that the clinical treatment delivery is in compliance with CARF standards, funding sources, ethics, and professional guidelines. Ensure that the client is provided the highest quality of addiction services utilizing the most up-to-date research methods and theories ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.What You Will Do:Assist the Medical and Clinical Director by providing evaluations of all clients referred for mental health services within 48 hours of admission.Provide Clinical and Administrative direction to supervised clinical staff facilitating meetings.Develop and implement viable evidence-based treatment programs.Oversee client metrics as identified by the leadership team.Ensure compliance with SAHLC policies and procedures.Complete annual Peer Reviews in collaboration with the Medical and Clinical Director.Develop and implement strategic goals for the clinical and medical departmentsCollaborate with leadership team for contractual management and audit purposes.Participate in the preparation of the annual Management Report and any additional reports as requested by the Executive Director.Develop and maintain professional working relationships with community service providers and substance abuse related organizations as assigned.Collaborate with the leadership team to provide proper training to clinical and medical staff.Audit and approve treatment plans and other clinical documentationAttends staff meetings and in-service training programs as scheduledMaintains client confidentiality according to Federal regulations and The Salvation Army standardsOther tasks as assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.Education: Master's Degree required in Addictions or Social Services. Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or HSPP preferredBackground Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed and all background check results will be reviewed.Experience: Minimum of two years supervisory experience. Experience in addiction treatment and the 12-step model for recovery preferredCertifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.Skills/Abilities:Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele.Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.
Supervisory Responsibility:
