for full-time

Cleanroom Assembly Technicians

for our client in

Salem, VA,

who specializes in the manufacturing of advanced surgical medical products. We are seeking

entry level candidates

to operate and monitor production machinery and/or utilize small hand tools while operating a microscope. May also be involved in the basic set-up, calibration and maintenance of equipment and/or perform finish operations.First shift-

7am-3pm, Monday- Friday, $18/hr.

Second shift-

3pm-11pm, Monday- Friday, $18/hr. plus $1.50 shift differential when on 2nd shift,

(must train on 1st shift , 7am-3pm, for approx. 1x month depending on each candidate).

Third

shift-

11pm-7am, Monday-Friday, $18/hr. plus $2.00 shift differential when on 3rd shift,

(must train on 1st shift , 7am-3pm, for approx. 1x month depending on each candidate).Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Adheres to Company Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.Operates machinery used in the manufacture of products with close supervision.May be involved in the basic set-up and/or calibration of equipment.Loads component materials into product specific tools and/or performs finishing operations.Reads and follows operating manuals, maintenance instructions and procedures.Inspects parts visually and dimensionally to assure conformance to requirements.Follows established documentation for product manufacturing.Cleans and maintains machinery as necessary.Performs other functions as required.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications: 1) High school graduate or equivalent 2) 0-1 year experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environmentPreferred Skills / Qualifications: 1) Technical or vocational schooling preferred 2) At this location they are metal free facility, including jewelry. In sub-assembly, there is no makeup, perfume, and cologne as well. 3) Those with experience with: crafting, jewelry making, phlebotomists, those coming from the lense industry making eyeglasses, and tattoo artists are encouraged to apply. 4) Specialized Knowledge: Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred. 5) Special Skills: Ability to work with small precision parts. 6) Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed instructions preferred.Additional Details: Dress code - Long Pants, Closed - non steel toe shoes, sleeved shirt (no tank tops) Business casual - be prepared to go out on the production floor. NO metal NO jewelry. This is a clean room position.
