DescriptionThis position is full time, four days a weeek, 9p-6:30a. This position is eligible for shift differentials.

We’re looking for an

experienced cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) shift nurse manager with two+ years of CVOR and a BSN . Our Operating Room nurses are integral members of high-functioning teams committed to excellence and outstanding patient care, driven by their expertise, compassion and dedication to evidence-based practice, and operate at a higher level of practice.

Emory University Hospital’s OR has been designated as “CNOR Strong” by the Competency and Credentialing Institute for the last 4 years.

Capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population.

Routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. Functions as Charge Nurse when assigned. Orients staff or students as assigned in absence of designated preceptor.

Is able to apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family.

Utilizes patient/family focus on cost containment. Recognizes needs and advocates for patient based on knowledge of condition.

Identifies and implements a course of action in non-routine situations. May seek assistance to resolve complex issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Two years’ experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.

Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.

Certification preferred. BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.

If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
