Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Factory Controller, the Sr. Cost Analyst plays a vital role in maintaining standard cost in SAP and conducting financial and operational analyses related to material spend, inventory levels and utilization, Gross Margin, EBITDA, and other pertinent financial metrics. The Sr. Cost Analyst FP&A actively contributes to the ongoing generation of cost improvement ideas to drive enhanced business outcomes. As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Sr. Cost Analyst primarily supports the Cost Accounting Systems while also providing analytical support to the Global Procurement organization. This position will be onsite at our Holbrook, NY factory location.
Responsibilities:
Act as a Business partner for the factory management of a packaging site, providing support on all financial matters and participating in the Local Leadership Team
Ensure proper execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and prepare standard and non-standard journal entries in accordance with Nestlé Accounting Standards
Independently handle yearly cost planning (Annual Cost Estimate), monthly reporting, variance analysis and forecasting (Year End Estimate) for the site as well as planning and calculating production costs, transfer price revisions, and maintaining master data
Provide analytics to evaluate variances to standard. Provide explanations to the key drivers along with recommendations to improve costs. Communicate cost risks and opportunities to leadership
Proactively manage emerging risks and opportunities in cooperation with factory management
Prepare cost studies and profitability analyses for investment decisions and special evaluations (e.g., benchmarks)
Adhere to factory costing processes with Nestlé Costing Standards
Drive process optimization towards more digitalization and simplification, supporting the factory in TPM, NCE, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or comparable
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Cost Accounting or Finance experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods or related industry
Strong Excel modeling and analytical skills
Must be proficient with Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Power Point, etc.

Strong interpersonal skills and capability to contribute to a fast-paced team environment
Effective communication and ability to influence others to get results or develop solutions
Excellent organization and time management skills

The approximate pay range for this position is $95,000- $105,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
