AWS Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support AWS End User Computing services. This position will work closely with senior finance management and key business partners to drive product/service pricing, cost and capital expenditure optimization, financial planning, decision support, and controllership.
Key job responsibilities
Perform analyses to support key business initiatives and proposals including pricing and new launches.
Compile and review financial results and operational plans and communicate results to senior leaders. - Lead the development of monthly financial close activities and financial reporting models
Support short and long-term financial planning for your areas
Lead and/or support efforts to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance processes and tools.
A day in the life
Reports and key metrics ownership such as P&L, MBR and WBRs
Develop business insights and KPI dashboards
Compile and review financial results, create forecast and operational plans and communicate to finance/business leaders
Support modeling efforts for pricing, product strategy and infrastructure investment decisions
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
