POSITION SUMMARY:
Cypress Healthcare Partners, LLC, in collaboration with Salinas Valley Health (SVH), is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations for Salinas Valley Health Clinic (SVHC). This position is critical in managing the day-to-day operations of a 200 provider multi-specialty medical group, which includes primary care services across approximately 30 clinic locations in Salinas and Monterey. The VP of Operations will oversee a team of 22 direct reports and be responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and quality patient care across the clinics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP:Oversee and manage the daily operations of SVHC, ensuring that all clinics operate efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with organizational goals.Lead and mentor a team of 22 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize patient flow, resource utilization, and service delivery across all clinic locations.FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
Oversee the financial performance of SVHC, including managing a $200M annual gross revenue budget and ensuring $90M in annual net revenue.Monitor financial metrics, analyze variances, and develop action plans to achieve financial targets.Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.CLINICAL OPERATIONS:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care by maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and implementing best practices in clinical operations.Work closely with medical leadership to align clinical operations with organizational goals and patient care standards.Drive initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, increase access to care, and enhance clinical outcomes.STRATEGIC PLANNING:
Collaborate with Cypress Healthcare Partners and SVH executive leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that support the growth and sustainability of SVHC.Identify opportunities for expansion, service line development, and operational improvements.Lead change management initiatives to support organizational growth and adapt to evolving healthcare trends.STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams.Act as a liaison between SVHC, Cypress Healthcare Partners, and SVH executive leadership to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.Represent SVHC in various internal and external meetings, committees, and professional organizations.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior-most operations position within a multi-specialty and primary care medical group with at least 100 physicians and $50M in annual net revenue.A Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is required.Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large, complex healthcare operations.Strong understanding of healthcare finance, including budgeting, revenue cycle management, and financial analysis.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is based in Salinas, CA, with some travel required to other clinic locations within Monterey County.The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Base Salary: $240,000 - $260,000 per year, commensurate with experience.Bonus: Additional discretionary bonus of up to 15% of base salary.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, vacation and professional development opportunities.
