Analyst, Pet ServicesAs an

Analyst, Pet Services at Petco you would be responsible for assisting in preparation of the monthly target and annual budget for Pet Services, supporting the Petco leadership team, as well as providing regular and ad hoc analyses for the Petco Services organization.While at Petco, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skill set, think critically about complex challenges, and drive meaningful change. This role will work closely with key members of several teams on various facets of the company to devise strategic solutions to unique business problems. The Analyst, Pet Services will assist in financial analysis, modeling, and evaluation to keep the business on track to meet its financial goals. This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who is detail-oriented, technically capable, holds a desire to solve problems and efficiently delivers a quality work product in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.This position will report to the Manager, Pet Services AnalyticsResponsibilities:Build partnerships with the Pet Services team to provide planning and analysis support to ensure the teams are on track to deliver their financial goals.

Assist with preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for the Pet Services businesses.

Create daily, weekly, period and quarterly targets for the Pet Services businesses.

Identify and help implement opportunities to leverage financial systems in ways that will provide visibility and transparency to business leaders to track against financial targets.

Provide ad hoc analysis as needed to help optimize business results.

Proactively provide value-added feedback to improve current processes from both an operational and strategic viewpoint.

Interface with the business leads to confirm assumptions used for budgeting and forecasting.

Assist the Accounting department with the coding of invoices.

Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience operating in a high analytical FP&A or business finance role.

Required Skills:Basic Accounting knowledge

Basic SQL knowledge

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills).

Demonstrated expertise in leveraging financial systems to empower an organization to efficiently plan and monitor financial performance.

Passion to continuously provide exceptional customer service to all internal business partners.

Self-starter and ability to manage projects independently.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for innovation and using technology to drive efficiency.

Track record of success to drive process improvements.

Extremely analytical, quantitative, and comfortable building advanced spreadsheet models.

Very detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain and keep track of multiple information sources.
