ResponsibilitiesPerforms medical assessment of Center patientsEstablishes and monitors a medically appropriate level of care for center patientsMaintains clinical core competencyAssures compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodiesMeets with employers to discuss health and safety needs and conducts workplace walk-through and other on-site assessments.Regularly calls client representatives upon seeing employee patients for initial injuries and change of duty statusIn the absence of the Center Medical Director, provides guidance to other medical staff (e.g. physician assistants, nurse practitioners and back/front office staff) to ensure Concentra's mission is achieved.Provides an excellent, compassionate and warm patient experience regardless of patient volumeAbility to manage time, prioritize and multi-task in a busy environmentThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. QualificationsCurrent unrestricted medical license in state of jurisdiction as required for clinical and/or business dutiesUnrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdictionMedical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from accredited institutionFMCSA NRCMEBoard certification in an an ABMS or AOA recognized specialtyJob-Related Skills/CompetenciesExperience managing workers compensation cases and bringing patients to MMI statusExperience providing work-related pre-employment and maintenance physicalsProficient in the assessment and treatment of minor injuries, including, but not limited to: lacerations, burns, foreign bodies, orthopedic injuries, etcConcentra Core Competencies of Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative and FlexibilityAbility to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutionsThe ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policiesAgrees, supports, and commits to Concentra's core practice standards and Policies and ProceduresAbility to supervise, evaluate, coach, and develop staffFosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivityAbility to "put patients first" and enjoys treating patientsSuperior patient/customer service and "bed side manner" skillsMust be a team player in a multidisciplinary environment
