IT Project Manager
in the Chief Information Office (CIO). The CIO is responsible for supporting staff with all facets of CNA across a wide spectrum of information and technical activities. The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing IT and cyber-related projects, ensuring their successful delivery within budget, scope, and timeline. This role will utilize NIST cybersecurity frameworks, GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), and ServiceNow in managing complex projects and driving client satisfaction.CNA fosters an inclusive culture that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and timeline development. Proactively utilize ServiceNow to streamline project management processes, enhance collaboration, and improve visibility into project progress.Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.Stakeholder Management:
Effectively communicate with sponsors, customers, team members, and other stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress and address concerns.Compliance and Regulatory Awareness:
Leverage expertise in NIST cybersecurity frameworks, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment, and Security Technical Implementation Guides, along with Governance, Risk and Compliance principles to implement robust security measures, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive effective governance initiatives.Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project objectives are met.Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain project documentation and prepare regular status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Budget Management:
Monitor project budgets and ensure that resources are allocated effectively to achieve project goals.Quality Assurance:
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed sponsor and customer expectations.Vendor and Contract Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for external vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers. Manage relationships, ensure alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality expectations, and facilitate effective communication to address any issues or changes during the project lifecycle.Perform other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. One or more of the following certifications is preferred: PMP, CISSP, CISM, Security+.Experience: Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in IT and IT security related functions.Skills: Proficient with ServiceNow. Must have expertise in NIST cybersecurity frameworks and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance). Must know and be able to take all actions required to ensure compliance with all Government security regulations and contractual requirements embedded with each project. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to generate trust and build relationships. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work in a dynamic environment where priorities may change rapidly. Must be able to make decisions to advise staff on appropriate actions regarding all security-related actions.Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level security clearance upon hire.Hybrid Work Eligibility: Due to the nature of the role, there may be on-call availability needed outside of normal working hours. This position is eligible for telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements at the discretion of the Supervisor. Employees may be required to work at CNA headquarters or other work locations resulting in changes to the scheduled telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements.
