AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.Our Organization’s mission is to use GenAI to ease working with and understanding code so that developers can create high-quality software, and make changes to it with speed and clarity. We developed Generative AI powered services such as Amazon CodeWhisperer and Amazon Q. We continuously work on adding new services to our portfolio, which solves common business problems and provide new interfaces for our customers to use AWS. customers through research and innovation.

We are seeking an experienced people manager to lead the team of System Development Engineers and develop tools to improve the productivity at a massive scale The prospective manager will drive automation initiatives to improve the quality of the models. He will partner with Product/Science/engg and support new initiatives to meet the product goals. He will be responsible to innovate for solving complex problems and continuously improve the systems. A successful candidate will be a hands-on manager with an established background in developing tools, automated solutions at scale, developing and hiring talent, have strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a dynamic fast paced environment.

Key job responsibilitiesKey responsibilities of the role include (not limited to):- Define and Drive goals for the team which includes understanding the product goals by working with the partners, track the progress, and support the team in delivering the goals.- Manage the design and development of tools and automated solution to manage the data at scale to improve the productivity and quality of the models including code reviews, testing, deployment and post-launch monitoring.- Partner with Product/Science/Engg and support new initiatives to meet the product goals.- Establish strong relationships with internal partners and peer stakeholders to understand and meet their needs- Focus on hands on development of your team. Mentor, coach and grow highly talented engineers. Train engineers on best practices and drive operational excellence.

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline.- 8+ years industry experience, with 2+ years of experience in managing System development Engineers/ Similar roles.- Experience in building reliable and secure software solutions, managing the projects across cross functional teams and managing release schedules.- Good track record of developing engineers through various career stages and building high-performance teams.- Experienced in using an iterative process such as SCRUM to deliver engineering projects; experience in continuous improvement to development process.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline.- Experience in managing big scale projects and driving from initiation through implementation, conduct retrospectives and plan.- Experience in working with distributed systems and operating in ambiguous situations.- Experience in working with product and engineering teams to define the goals and deliver the projects.Posted:
